Pu erh (sometimes spelled pu er) teas at Cloudwalker Specialty Teas have been individually selected in the tradition of a very special cha dao 'way of tea' Master in Taiwan, R.O.C. (who prefers to remain un-named). We offer loose leaf and cake pu erh. We select only the finest imperial grade, aged pu erh picked and processed in Yunnan province in China for pure drinking enjoyment. Most of our teas are processed by family run tea plantations where the leaves are all picked and packaged lovingly and by hand. It is this care and personal handling that contributes so greatly to the quality of our pu erh teas. When they are ready to be transported, our teas are moved from China to Taiwan where they can better age.
Chosen for their deep, dark aromas and tastes of the earth, these rare teas are also complemented by their powerful cha chi energy. Each tea has a unique living energy matching its flavours and aromas. Drinking in the gong fu cha style enhances the tea drinker’s experience of the finer energy points of these very special teas.
When shopping for good aged pu erh tea, be sure you find aged sheng pu erh tea leaves. Aged sheng (raw or un-cooked) pu erh is far superior in taste, aroma and chi properties to its shou (cooked) pu erh cousin. At Cloudwalker Specialty Teas we offer only the best aged sheng pu erh, and we particularly recommend our loose leaf tea varieties. As time passes we shall begin to add more aged, sheng cake pu erh options. Enjoy!
For those looking for something even more special, we do have a "protected teas" page for anyone dedicated to the drinking of vintage pu erh tea. Contact us for a password at info@cloudwalkerteas.com.
